Dual phase steel

Steels composed mainly of ferritic and martensitic phases can be produced from low carbon steel or low alloy steel by critical zone treatment or controlled rolling. This kind of steel has high strength and high ductility, and has become a new type of stamping steel with high strength and good formability, which has been successfully used in the automobile industry.


Ferrite - bainite steel

FB-Ferrite and Bainite Steel is also known as Stretch Flangeable or High Hole Expansion Steel because of its excellent hole reaming properties. The microstructure of FB steel is composed of ferrite and bainite. FB steel can be used to make hot rolled products. The main advantages of FB steel are its good reaming property, collision resistance and excellent fatigue resistance. It is usually considered for the production of laser butt welding plates for stamping large and medium body coverings or vehicle chassis, wheels and other heavy parts.


TRIP steel

transformation induced plasticity steel: ultra-high strength steel that was plasticity increased due to gradual martensitic plasticity process in steel tissue, referred to as TRIP steel.

When the austenitic steel with this structure is used at room temperature, the austenite in the front of the crack will become martensite due to the stress concentration in the front of the crack. Because the formation of martensite requires a large amount of energy, crack propagation is difficult, which will increase both the steel strength (martensite strengthening) and the fracture toughness KIC(consumption of energy required for crack propagation).


Martensitic steel

The microstructure of MS-martensitic steel is almost martensitic structure. It can be achieved by hot rolling or cold rolling. Martensitic steel has high tensile strength, and its maximum strength can reach 1600MPa. It needs to be tempered to improve its plasticity, so that it still has sufficient formability under such high strength. It is the highest strength grade of commercial high strength steel plate at present.
